IIT Roorkee Sets May 17 Date for JEE Advanced 2026 With Two CBT Papers

Detailed brochure and the registration window are expected after JEE Main results.

Overview

  • JEE Advanced 2026 will be held on Sunday, May 17, with Paper 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm in computer-based mode.
  • Candidates must appear in both papers, and the question papers will be available in English and Hindi.
  • Eligibility is restricted to the top 2.5 lakh performers in JEE Main 2026, as confirmed by IIT Roorkee.
  • JEE Main 2026 is scheduled by NTA in two sessions from January 21–30 and April 2–9, shaping the timeline for Advanced qualification.
  • Registration is expected to open after JEE Main results in April, with IIT Roorkee to publish the brochure, exam-city list and instructions on jeeadv.ac.in; last year’s IIT seat baseline was about 18,160, subject to confirmation.
