IIT Roorkee Sets May 17, 2026 Date for JEE Advanced, Confirms Two CBT Papers

Eligibility is restricted to the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main candidates, with detailed instructions to be posted on jeeadv.ac.in.

Overview

  • Paper 1 will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and attendance in both papers is mandatory.
  • The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode with question papers available in English and Hindi.
  • Only candidates ranked within the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026 will be able to register for JEE Advanced.
  • JEE Main 2026 is slated for two sessions, January 21–30 and April 2–9, which will determine the eligible pool.
  • IIT Roorkee will release exam city lists, the information brochure, application guidelines and the definitive paper pattern on the official portal.
