- IIT Mandi on Monday announced three new BTech programmes for 2026–27: Quantum Science and Engineering; Agricultural Engineering with Data Analytics; and Chemical Engineering with Data Analytics.
- The quantum degree covers quantum computing, communication, sensing, materials and hardware engineering alongside computer science, mathematics and artificial intelligence to train students for roles in quantum hardware, secure communications and advanced computing.
- The agricultural programme combines core agricultural engineering with AI, machine learning, IoT, remote sensing and automation and emphasizes hands-on field training, lab work, internships and partnerships with agri‑tech firms.
- The chemical engineering track integrates core chemical engineering with computational modelling, process simulation, machine learning and data science and allows students to pursue minors or double majors across other disciplines.
- Admissions details and selection rules are posted on IIT Mandi’s admissions portal, with entry requiring a basic eligibility screening followed by a group discussion or personal interview.
