Overview

  • YD One weighs just 8.5 kg, half the mass of standard wheelchairs thanks to its precision-engineered carbon-fibre and aluminium monoframe design.
  • Users can choose from 13–18 inch widths and 14 colour finishes, with bespoke fittings tailored to individual body and posture requirements.
  • Built to international standards and certified by ISO, YD One passed rigorous load and drop tests simulating 120 kg cycles without structural damage.
  • Production by IIT Madras–incubated Thryv Mobility will make the wheelchair broadly available in India and emerging markets from July 17.
  • Priced at ₹75,000, YD One undercuts imported models and aims to enhance mobility independence for para-athletes, veterans, and other users across urban and rural settings.
