Overview

  • The program trains women residing on campus in counseling and mentorship skills to provide informal emotional support over tea, coffee or dinners.
  • The Campus Mothers concept remains under active consideration with volunteer orientation and counseling training modules set to launch soon.
  • The Student Welcome Committee is developing AI-powered tools to monitor student well-being and allow early identification of emotional distress.
  • The committee will also roll out community engagement activities, including sports and cultural events, to help new students settle in.
  • The initiative forms part of a broader student welfare strategy introduced by Director Suman Chakraborty after three student suicides this year.
