IIT JAM 2026 Provisional Answer Key Out, Objection Window Open Until Feb 27

Candidates have until February 27 at 11:59 pm to contest specific answers via JOAPS with evidence and a fee.

Overview

IIT Bombay has published the provisional answer key and candidate response sheets on jam2026.iitb.ac.in, accessible through the JOAPS login using enrolment ID or email and password.
Subject experts will review valid challenges submitted through JOAPS, and a revised final key will be issued if warranted.
Results are scheduled for March 20, with downloadable scorecards showing All India Rank and marks available from March 27 for qualified candidates.
Test-takers can estimate scores by comparing their response sheet with the key and applying the official marking scheme, which includes negative marking in Section A and no negative marking in Sections B and C.
The computer-based exam was held on February 15 for admissions to M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-M.Tech. programmes at IITs, IISc, NITs and other participating institutes.
