Overview
- GOAPS opens on August 25 with regular applications closing September 25 and an extended window until October 6 with a late fee.
- GATE 2026 will be held on February 7, 8, 14 and 15 in two shifts each day.
- A new Energy Science sectional paper (XE-1) has been introduced, bringing the total to 30 test papers.
- All papers will be conducted in English, and the centre for a candidate’s second paper may differ from the first but will remain in the same city.
- IIT Guwahati may add or withdraw two-paper pairings later based on feasibility, with refunds promised if a second-paper option is withdrawn.
