Admissions close July 31 without a GATE requirement, positioning professionals to begin studies on August 18 as part of Assam’s flood resilience drive.

Overview

  • The two-year programme blends online instruction with on-campus laboratory sessions and final examinations at IIT Guwahati.
  • Applicants need a four-year engineering degree and at least one year of water resources experience but no GATE score is required for admission.
  • Candidates will be selected through a written test or interview, and applications are open until July 31, 2025.
  • Students can exit at multiple stages to earn a postgraduate certificate, diploma, or Master of Science (Engineering) on their way to the full MTech degree.
  • The initiative follows a memorandum with Assam’s Water Resources Department and support from FREMAA and the World Bank to bolster regional flood management capacity.
