- IIT Delhi said this is the largest pledge ever announced by a single graduating batch.
- The commitment was unveiled during the Class of 2000 Silver Jubilee Reunion on the IIT Delhi campus with alumni from India and overseas.
- Most of the funds are earmarked for the General Endowment to support academic programmes, research and innovation, student scholarships, and faculty excellence.
- Dean of Alumni Relations Nilanjan Senroy welcomed the pledge, saying it will strengthen the institute’s efforts across research, education, and infrastructure.
- Batch fundraising lead Rohit Dube described the effort as about participation and shared ownership to pay it forward for future generations.
