Overview
- In the first round of seat allotment, 78 of the top 100 JEE Advanced rankers secured seats at IIT Bombay.
- Nine of the top ten rankers registered for JoSAA counselling; all selected IIT Bombay.
- Of the top 500 rankers, 185 were allotted seats at IIT Bombay; 258 of the top 1,000 rankers also secured spots there.
- JoSAA opened 18,160 seats across 23 IITs, yet 3,001 qualified candidates, including one from the top ten, did not register for counselling.
- Established IITs such as Delhi, Madras, Kanpur and Kharagpur attracted many high scorers, and IIT Hyderabad drew five of the top 500 rankers.
