Singh, who gained prominence during the Maha Kumbh Mela, claimed the ganja was 'prasad' and part of his spiritual practices as an Aghori baba.
He was released on bail shortly after detention, as the amount of ganja recovered fell within permissible limits under the law.
This incident follows a recent controversy where Singh alleged he was assaulted by saffron-clad individuals during a TV news debate in Noida, though no formal complaint was filed.
