IIM Kozhikode Inducts MBA Class With 51% Women Representation

The cohort is participating in a week of orientation activities ahead of the start of classes on June 30.

Overview

  • On June 23, following a four-day immersion programme, IIM Kozhikode formally inducted 586 students into its full-time MBA programmes for 2025–27.
  • Women now constitute a majority of the MBA cohort at 51%, with the flagship PGP-29 class reaching 55%, surpassing the 36% female share in the CAT 2024 applicant pool.
  • The incoming students reflect diverse academic and geographic backgrounds, with 53% holding non-engineering degrees, 35% from Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and seven international participants.
  • The specialised PGP-Finance batch comprises 49 candidates evenly split between engineering and non-engineering graduates, while the PGP-LSM class includes 48 students with 60% women and 96% from non-engineering backgrounds.
  • The induction also marked the largest-ever intake of 31 doctoral scholars into IIM Kozhikode’s 19th batch of the Fellow Programme in Management.
