Overview
- The official CAT 2026 notification was published in late July and opens online registration from August 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM until September 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
- IIM Indore will convene CAT 2026 with Prof Aditya Billore as convener, marking Indore’s first time running the test since 2020.
- The exam is scheduled for Sunday, November 29, 2026 in three timed sessions across roughly 170 test cities, with admit cards available to download from November 4 until the exam date.
- Eligibility and administrative rules are unchanged: a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD), registration fees of Rs. 2,700 (general) and Rs. 1,350 (SC/ST/PwBD), and government reservation percentages with required category certificates at registration.
- Results are expected by the first week of January 2027 and CAT 2026 scores will be valid through December 31, 2027, while each IIM and other participating schools will apply their own shortlisting rules beyond CAT scores.
