Overview
- IIM Indore released the official CAT 2026 notification in late July, confirming online registration opens August 3 at 10:00 AM and closes September 15 at 5:00 PM.
- The exam is set for Sunday, November 29, 2026, to be held in three sessions across about 170 test cities and admit cards will be available from November 4 until the exam date.
- Registration fees are non‑refundable and set at Rs. 2,700 for general candidates and Rs. 1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, with applicants required to upload category certificates where relevant.
- Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC, ST and PwBD), with final‑year students and certain professional degree holders allowed to apply under conditions set by individual IIMs.
- CAT scores will be valid through December 31, 2027, and while scores are central to admissions, each IIM and participating school will apply its own shortlisting rules and weightages such as past academics and work experience.
