IHCL and Ambuja Neotia Partner to Develop 15 Hotels in Eastern and Northeastern India

Overview

  • The framework signed in late July commits IHCL and Ambuja Neotia to develop 15 hotels across West Bengal, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh under Taj, SeleQtions and Tree of Life brands.
  • Initial agreements include a Taj resort in Darjeeling, SeleQtions hotels in Kolkata and Siliguri and a Tree of Life resort in Lataguri.
  • Ambuja Neotia’s land holdings span all proposed sites, including the Sunderbans and Gangtok, enabling a mix of greenfield, brownfield and conversion projects.
  • Plans call for luxury Taj-branded villas in Darjeeling, Lataguri, Raichak and Gangtok to complement the resort and hotel portfolio.
  • Harshavardhan Neotia has already mobilized ₹700–800 crore for early works as part of a broader ₹5,000 crore investment over five years.
