Overview
- Mine copper in caves by spotting blocks with square or brown protrusions and use a Crude Pickaxe crafted from 2 Rubble, 2 Plant Fiber, and 2 Sticks.
- Place a Workbench using 4 Tree Trunk and 3 Stone, then craft a Furnace with 6 Tree Trunk and 6 Stone to smelt ore into bars.
- Fuel the Furnace with logs or sticks to process copper and receive Charcoal as a byproduct.
- Aim for at least 12 copper for tools and basic benches, or gather roughly 50 total to craft copper weapons and armor.
- Watch for gray Iron Ore to jump to the next gear tier, and collect Light Hides from cave rats for base items such as a Tanning Rack and a Crude Bedroll.
