Overview
- IGNOU opened online applications on June 10, and candidates can apply through ignou-phd.samarth.edu.in until July 1, 2026.
- The university is admitting students across 36 disciplines including sciences, social sciences, humanities, management and applied fields.
- Admissions follow the UGC (PhD) Regulations, 2022 and allow applicants via UGC-NET/JRF categories or the IGNOU university-level entrance test.
- All applicants must attend an Interview/Viva-Voce for selection with JRF/NET qualifiers required only to appear for the interview and other categories assessed partly on test scores and interview performance.
- Applicants must register on the PhD portal, pay a Rs 2,000 fee, consult the online brochure for seat lists and reservation details, and note that admitted scholars must complete prescribed coursework in New Delhi with at least 80% attendance.
