• IGNOU’s four-year BA in Home Science begins July 2025 through its School of Continuing Education in an open and distance learning format.
• Students can complete the 120-credit programme in three to six years with the flexibility to exit at certificate, diploma, bachelor’s or honours levels.
• The curriculum aligns with the University Grants Commission and NEP 2020 frameworks covering Human Development and Family Studies, Community Resource Management, Food and Nutrition, Extension and Communication, Fabric and Apparel Sciences.
• Instruction will be offered in both English and Hindi with study materials available in print and digital formats.
• Annual tuition is set at Rs 5,000 all-inclusive and graduates will qualify for roles ranging from child development officers and educators to quality control personnel and apparel designers.
