IGL Cuts Domestic PNG Prices by Rs 0.70 in Delhi-NCR, Effective Jan. 1, 2026

The move reflects PNGRB’s simplified pipeline tariff that reduces transportation costs for city gas distributors.

Overview

  • After the revision, household PNG will cost Rs 47.89 per scm in Delhi, Rs 46.70 per scm in Gurugram, and Rs 47.76 per scm in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
  • The reduction takes effect on January 1, 2026 following IGL’s announcement, which the company posted on X and framed as supporting affordable clean energy.
  • PNGRB’s new regime cuts distance-based zones from three to two and sets a single lower Zone‑1 rate of about Rs 54 per MMBtu nationwide for CNG and domestic PNG.
  • Other city gas retailers, including Think Gas, have already lowered CNG and domestic PNG prices in several states ahead of the new tariff’s start.
  • IGL operates CGD networks across 30 districts in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, underscoring the significance of pricing steps for its NCR customers.
