Overview
- An explosion at about 8:15am roughly 1 km from Sultan Kot station derailed four bogies of the Rawalpindi–Quetta service, injuring seven passengers.
- Shikarpur officials said four injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital and three to Civil Hospital Shikarpur, with no fatalities reported.
- Railway teams moved cranes to re-rail coaches, shifted passengers to nearby stations, and later sent the train toward Jacobabad en route to Quetta.
- Police said the blast targeted a single track used by trains to and from Quetta via Jacobabad, launched searches for suspects, and had not yet registered an FIR at the time of reporting.
- The Baloch Republican Guards claimed responsibility, and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack and sought a report while directing medical assistance for the injured.
