Overview
- The external recertification began on November 25 at IECM facilities under NEMT Register as the institute seeks to remain the only subnational body in Mexico accredited to ISO/TS 54001:2019.
- The review launches the fourth certification cycle covering 2026–2029 and includes two scheduled follow-up audits.
- The audit examines institutional planning, quality management, human resources, information technology, infrastructure, communications, procurement, links with external organizations, citizen participation mechanisms, and district execution.
- On-site assessments will also cover district directorates 3, 11, 13 and 16 to test how central quality policies operate locally.
- The IECM is pairing the audit with its Círculo de Calidad 2025 to strengthen corrective and preventive action plans and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.
