Overview

• The festival runs November 13–23 in Amsterdam with approximately 250 titles spanning shorts and features from 76 countries.
• The industry Forum is set for November 16–19 and will host 51 projects across Producers Connection, Forum Pitch, DocLab Forum and Rough Cut Presentations.
• DocLab will present 12 interactive and immersive works that include VR, AR, AI and live performance formats, such as Cripping Up, Metamorphosis, Anatomy of Revolution and Fear City Paradise.
• IDFA confirmed competition and showcase strands including International Competition, Envision, Luminous, Frontlight, plus the DocLab Competition and cross-section awards such as Best First Feature, Best Dutch Film and the Beeld & Geluid IDFA ReFrame Award.
• Forum selections highlight geopolitically focused projects like My Sister Gaza, Alison O’Daniel’s Inframince on Havana Syndrome and Loretta van der Horst’s The Documenters, with reporting differing on whether this is the 38th or 33rd edition.
