IDF Suffers Casualties in Gaza Conflict
Three Israeli soldiers, including two staff sergeants and a major, have been killed in separate incidents in Gaza as the conflict escalates.
- Staff Sgt. Nerya Belete, 21, and Staff Sgt. Ido Eli Zrihen, 20, were killed in southern Gaza, serving in the Givati Brigade's patrol unit.
- Major Eyal Shuminov, 24, was killed by anti-tank fire in northern Gaza, posthumously promoted for his leadership.
- An officer and two other soldiers were seriously wounded in the same incident that claimed the lives of Belete and Zrihen.
- The IDF has now reported a total of 238 casualties since the beginning of the ground invasion.
- The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 29,606 Palestinian deaths, including more than 12,300 children.
