IDF Confirms Deaths of Two Soldiers, Total Losses Rise to 532

Staff Sergeant Shay Levinson and Sergeant-Major Uriel Aviad Silberman were killed in October and over the weekend respectively, with another soldier seriously injured.

• Staff Sergeant Shay Levinson, 19, from Giv'at Avni, was killed during the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2024. His death was only recently confirmed by the IDF.
• Sergeant-Major (Res.) Uriel Aviad Silberman, 23, from Moshav Nahalim, was killed in the southern Gaza Strip over the weekend. He had voluntarily returned to reserve duty after the events of October 7.
• Another soldier in Silberman's battalion was seriously injured.
• The two deaths announced on Sunday bring the total IDF losses since October 7 to 532.
• Levinson was in a tank that was caught by surprise when Hamas terrorists crossed the border in the early morning of October 7. His tank managed to kill around 15 terrorists with shells before being overwhelmed.
