Iconic Items from Prince's Wardrobe Up for Auction

Over 200 pieces, including the famed 'Purple Rain' shirt, are available for bidding until Thursday.

More than 200 items from Prince's wardrobe are being auctioned off by RR Auction, including the iconic white ruffled shirt he wore during his 1985 American Music Awards performance of 'Purple Rain'.
The collection was assembled by a French collector who initially planned to open a museum dedicated to Prince but later abandoned the idea.
Other items up for bid include a pair of high-heeled blue boots from the Act I Tour, a custom-made gold stage outfit with love symbols, a blue Schecter ‘Cloud’ Guitar played by Prince, and a chain hat.
In addition to fashion, the auction includes original Polaroid photographs, master tapes of hit albums, and official documentation about his films and music videos.
Bidding for the auction closes on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
