Overview

  • Over 13,000 students from more than 300 schools across India took part in the two-day SHINE outreach organised by ICMR institutes
  • All 26 ICMR centres simultaneously hosted guided laboratory tours, research exhibitions, poster walks, video presentations and live demonstrations
  • The programme responds to Prime Minister Modi’s February Mann ki Baat call and is part of the ICMR-SHINE Initiative to nurture future scientists
  • Designed for Classes 9–12, activities aim to ignite interest in health and biomedical research and inspire the next generation of health researchers
  • The inaugural event honours Professor V Ramalingaswami by showcasing ICMR’s contributions to India’s medical research landscape
