The cover received rare approval from both Roger Waters and David Gilmour, who have had a decades-long feud and rarely agree on creative matters.
Initial attempts to gain clearance through Pink Floyd's publishers were denied, but Ice-T's team secured approval by appealing directly to the artists' managers.
David Gilmour praised the updated lyrics, which address modern societal fears, and even volunteered to perform on the track and appear in the music video.
The cover is featured on Body Count's latest album, 'Merciless,' which also includes collaborations with notable metal artists like Corpsegrinder and Max Cavalera.
