Overview

• ICE agents arrested five convicted illegal aliens over the July 19–20 weekend in Denver, Baltimore, Houston, Los Angeles and Oklahoma City.
• The detainees include Federico Fong-Nunez, 53, with 21 convictions for burglary and assault, plus four others with records of drug possession, grand theft, hit-and-run and assault.
• DHS says 70% of ICE’s arrests since Jan. 20 involve individuals charged or convicted of crimes.
• The agency has logged nearly 300,000 arrests and over 239,000 deportations under the current administration.
• Anti-ICE protests in cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Austin have turned increasingly violent in recent weeks.
