Overview

• The qualifier will run January 12–February 2, 2026, at the Lower and Upper Mulpani Stadiums in Kathmandu, marking Nepal’s first global women’s cricket event.
• Five teams—Bangladesh, Scotland, Nepal, Thailand and the United States—have already secured spots through prior World Cup participation and regional pathways.
• Teams will be divided into two groups of five before progressing to a Super Six stage and a final that awards four berths at the main tournament.
• Ongoing regional qualifiers will supply two teams each from Africa and Europe and one from East Asia-Pacific to complete the ten-team field.
• The main Women’s T20 World Cup expands to 12 nations and will be held from June 12 to July 5, 2026, across seven venues in England and Wales, with the final at Lord’s.
