Overview

  • The tournament window of September 30 to November 2 is unchanged, with matches now set across Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, Navi Mumbai and Colombo.
  • DY Patil Stadium will host three group games, the October 30 second semi-final, and could stage the November 2 final.
  • The IndiaSri Lanka curtain-raiser has been relocated to Guwahati on September 30.
  • Under the hybrid model, Pakistan will play exclusively in Colombo, which will host their semi-final or the final if they qualify.
  • The change stems from the June 4 stampede that killed 11 outside Chinnaswamy and from KSCA’s failure to secure police clearances by ICC deadlines.
