- The suspension was due to government interference in the administration of cricket in Sri Lanka.
- The ICC is now satisfied that SLC is no longer in breach of membership obligations.
- Due to the suspension, Sri Lanka lost out on hosting the U-19 World Cup, which is currently being played in South Africa.
- Sri Lanka’s next assignment is a home series against Afghanistan starting from February 2.
