ICC Lifts Suspension of Sri Lanka Cricket

Sri Lanka lost U-19 World Cup hosting due to suspension, now set to play home series against Afghanistan.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been reinstated as a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after a two-month suspension.
The suspension was due to government interference in the administration of cricket in Sri Lanka.
The ICC is now satisfied that SLC is no longer in breach of membership obligations.
Due to the suspension, Sri Lanka lost out on hosting the U-19 World Cup, which is currently being played in South Africa.
Sri Lanka’s next assignment is a home series against Afghanistan starting from February 2.
