Overview
- Eight participants were confirmed: Thailand, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, the United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Namibia, Tanzania, and Uganda.
- All teams will meet once in a single round-robin with matches in Bangkok at Terdthai Cricket Ground and the Asian Institute of Technology Ground.
- The opening day features Thailand vs Netherlands and Papua New Guinea vs UAE in the morning, followed by Scotland vs Uganda and Namibia vs Tanzania in the afternoon.
- Selection combined five Associate members with ODI status and three highest-ranked Associates in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings at the May 1, 2025 cut-off.
- The ICC also scheduled the Women’s Challenge Trophy in Rwanda in 2026 and a 2027 event bringing eight Associates into competition with top-ranked sides, citing momentum from the record-viewed 2025 World Cup.
