IBM-Backed HashiCorp Unveils Project Infragraph for AI-Ready Infrastructure Control

Private testing begins in December to validate it as the context layer for AI agents.

Overview

  • The real-time resource graph expands HashiCorp Cloud Platform to link infrastructure, applications, services, ownership and policy as a single source of truth.
  • An invite-only beta is slated for December 2025, with specifics still limited as development continues.
  • Planned tie-ins span IBM and Red Hat tooling, including proposed integrations with Ansible, OpenShift, watsonx Orchestrate and Cloudability.
  • HashiCorp also released public betas of Model Context Protocol servers for Terraform, Vault and HCP Vault Radar to enable auditable, natural-language queries and actions.
  • The graph is designed to capture near-real-time changes, note team ownership, surface drift outside Terraform and support automated remediation, compliance and cost forecasting across hybrid clouds.
