Ibiza Chef Arrested After Assaulting German Tourist Over Food Complaint

A 72-year-old German man required surgery after a violent encounter with a chef in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, following a dispute over a meal.

The incident occurred last month at a well-known restaurant in Santa Eulalia, on the eastern side of Ibiza.
The altercation began when the German tourist complained about receiving the wrong dish, which was also poorly prepared.
Witnesses reported that the chef, a 37-year-old Spaniard, stormed into the dining area, shouting and pushing the tourist to the ground.
The tourist suffered significant injuries, including blood clots, necessitating surgery at a hospital on Mallorca.
The chef has been arrested and charged with serious bodily harm, as violent incidents are uncommon on the island known for its luxury and tranquility.
