Iberia Adds Daily MadridNewark Flights Starting March 29, 2026

The carrier will use new A321XLRs to extend its New York reach via Newark within the oneworld transatlantic joint venture.

Overview

  • Iberia published a daily schedule as IB327 MAD–EWR departing 7:35 p.m. and arriving 10:25 p.m., and IB328 EWR–MAD departing 11:55 p.m. and arriving 1:20 p.m. the next day.
  • Block times are set at 8 hours 50 minutes westbound and 8 hours 25 minutes eastbound on the 3,606‑mile route.
  • Flights will be operated by the Airbus A321XLR, which Iberia reports will seat 182 passengers with 14 in business class and 168 in economy.
  • Iberia says Newark creates a third daily New York‑area frequency, offering more schedule flexibility alongside existing JFK service.
  • The airline projects more than 350,000 seats between Madrid and the New York region in summer 2026, enabled by its A321XLR growth that also includes a planned MadridToronto launch in June 2026.
