Iberdrola to Seek 15% Dividend Increase at May 30 Shareholders’ Meeting

This move follows a year of major renewable energy investments that bolstered regional economies.

Overview

  • Iberdrola generated nearly €3.1 billion of economic impact in 2024 across Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia, Castilla y León and Catalonia while sourcing over €669 million from local suppliers.
  • The company will propose a complementary dividend of €0.404 per share on top of the €0.231 advance paid in January, lifting total distribution to €0.635—15% above last year’s payout.
  • Shareholders will also vote on a third consecutive involvement dividend of €0.005 per share, conditional on reaching at least 70% capital representation.
  • Iberdrola accelerated its green energy portfolio with a 25 MW green hydrogen project under construction in Castellón and Spain’s first certified green hydrogen plant in Barcelona’s Zona Franca.
  • The utility expanded its public EV charging network to over 1,800 points in Comunidad Valenciana and nearly 1,000 in Catalonia and rolled out community solar schemes benefiting more than 12,000 families.
