• Police arrested Mori Keiko, 75, in Ami Town on suspicion of corpse abandonment after she reported a body at her home.
• She went to a police station with a relative on September 23 and told officers her daughter’s remains were stored in a freezer.
• Officers found a body believed to be Mori Makiko in a chest freezer in the kitchen, folded with a blanket over it.
• The freezer measured roughly 95 cm by 85 cm with a capacity of about 205 liters, and police noted branches and deodorizers inside.
