IATSE and Studios Reach Tentative Agreement on Area Standards Contract

The deal, pending ratification, aims to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions for 20,000 film and TV workers nationwide.

The agreement includes wage increases of 7%, 4%, and 3.5% over three years.
It introduces new protections against job displacement by artificial intelligence.
Triple-time pay will be provided for workdays exceeding 15 hours.
Living allowances for 'nearby hires' will see a 33% increase.
The contract still requires approval from IATSE members through a ratification vote.
