Overview
- The IAF will field a special Barak formation featuring Su-30 MKI, Rafale, Mirage and LCA Tejas that took part in Operation Sindoor.
- The main flypast over the Brahmaputra at Lachit Ghat is scheduled for Sunday between 12:30 pm and 2 pm after rehearsal sorties and a student preview.
- More than 75 aircraft across over 25 formations will participate, including frontline fighters, Apache helicopters, C-17 and C-130 transports, an IL-78 refueller and the Suryakiran team.
- Several formations will use regional themes such as Lachit, Kaziranga, Manas, Elephant and Rhinoceros to highlight local heritage and wildlife.
- A NOTAM is active with seven supporting airbases on alert, and officials say viewing and traffic advisories will be shared via IAF channels as dignitaries including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attend.
