IAF Safely Disposes of Two Unexploded Bombs Near Arunachal Firing Range

- The bombs were discovered on May 26 in Rigyu village just a few kilometres from the Dolum Firing Range in Kamle district
- On July 3 a specialised IAF team carried out a controlled disposal between 10:30 am and 12 noon under the supervision of SDO Nabam Tarang
- Personnel from the Dollungmukh Police Station and the Dollungmukh administration cordoned off the site before the operation to protect residents
- The Indian Air Force followed established safety and disposal protocols to neutralise the live ordnance without incident
- Villagers have renewed longstanding demands to shift the firing range farther from civilian settlements
