Overview
- The Indian Air Force is processing large orders for Rampage air-to-ground missiles with deliveries expected soon, according to ANI and other reports citing defence sources.
- Reports say the missile was used with high accuracy during Operation Sindoor to strike targets in Pakistan’s Muridke and Bahawalpur.
- Rampage is already integrated on Su-30MKI, Jaguar and MiG-29 fighters, with integration also reported on the Indian Navy’s MiG-29K jets.
- The Air Force is evaluating additional aircraft fitment and is considering domestic production under the Make in India initiative.
- The weapon enables stand-off strikes at roughly 250 km, and recent India–Israel talks on July 23 confirmed plans to deepen defence cooperation.
