Overview

• Air Marshal Manish Khanna assumed charge as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Air Command at Thiruvananthapuram on June 1, 2025.
• Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann took over as Senior Air Staff Officer of the Western Air Command on the same day.
• Khanna brings over 4,000 flying hours on various fighter and trainer aircraft and has served as Chief Flying Instructor in Botswana among other key operational roles.
• Mann has logged more than 3,000 flight hours in fighter jets and led joint military exercises with the Republic of Singapore Air Force and the US Air Force.
• Both officers hold Ati Vishisht Seva and Vayu Sena Medals and are alumni of premier institutions such as the National Defence Academy and Defence Services Staff College.
