IAEA Chief Travels to Ukraine to Investigate Danger at Occupied Nuclear Plant

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency visited Ukraine to assess conditions at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
The plant's cooling reservoir has dropped significantly in level, threatening the cooling systems for its six nuclear reactors.
Both Ukraine and Russia have accused the other of sabotaging a dam that fed the reservoir, leading to major flooding downstream.
Though stable for now, the low water level could endanger the plant if it falls further and incapacitates the pumps supplying the main cooling pond.
The IAEA team will swap out members during the Director General's trip to continue monitoring the precarious situation.
