Overview
- A localized truce took effect Friday near the occupied Zaporizhzhia plant to enable work on the 330 kV Ferosplavna-1 line.
- Demining and site preparations began in the morning, with technicians expected to start repairs Saturday and target reconnection within days.
- The Ferosplavna-1 connection has been cut for about six months, according to the IAEA.
- Reconnecting it would give the plant two off-site power lines, after the 750 kV Dniprovska link resumed supply on 23 October following a month-long outage.
- The IAEA team on site will monitor the operation, as the shut-down reactors still require electricity for cooling.
