Overview
- Munich’s MVG is rerouting buses from 3 to 18 September around Odeonsplatz, Leopoldstraße and Königsplatz, affecting CityRing 58/68, Museenlinie 100, lines 153 and 154, plus night buses N40, N41 and N45.
- The Open Space installations will occupy Königsplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz, Odeonsplatz, parts of Ludwigstraße, Wittelsbacherplatz and the Residenzhöfe, opening 9–14 September daily 11:00–21:00 and on Sunday 10:00–17:00.
- During the fair, Residenzstraße will be closed to cyclists, with bike traffic redirected via Alfons-Goppel-Straße, Maximilianstraße and Sparkassenstraße.
- Exhibitors include Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen and BYD across prominent city sites, while Tesla does not appear on this year’s exhibitor list.
- Environmental groups have announced actions during show week, including an Attac stunt at the Messe lake on Tuesday 9 September, a Luitpoldpark camp from Tuesday to Sunday, bicycle demonstrations on Thursday 11 September and Saturday 13 September, and a Mobility Transition congress on 13–14 September at TUM.
