Hyundai to Supply Iveco with Electric Light Commercial Vehicle

The vehicle, based on Hyundai's Global eLCV platform, is set to launch in Europe in September 2024.

  • Hyundai Motor and Iveco Group have announced a deal for Hyundai to supply a fully electric light commercial vehicle to the Italian truck and bus maker.
  • The vehicle will be based on Hyundai's Global eLCV platform and will weigh between 2.5-3.5 tons.
  • Hyundai will manufacture and supply the vehicle's chassis cab for the European market, while Iveco will customize it locally and distribute it exclusively through its sales channels.
  • The launch of the new vehicle is expected in September 2024.
  • The partnership between Hyundai and Iveco started in 2022, with Hyundai already helping Iveco develop its hydrogen fuel cell eDAILY FCEV van and E-WAY FCEV city bus.
