Hyundai to Provide Free Tesla Supercharger Adapters for EV Owners in 2025

Hyundai EV drivers with CCS ports will gain access to Tesla's extensive charging network through free adapters starting in Q1 2025.

  • Hyundai will offer free NACS adapters to EV owners of eligible 2024 and earlier models, as well as select 2025 models, enabling access to over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers in the U.S.
  • The adapters will be available for request through Hyundai's MyHyundai owner portal, with shipping expected in the first quarter of 2025.
  • Hyundai's upcoming 2025 Ioniq 5 and other new models will feature native NACS ports, eliminating the need for adapters for Tesla Supercharger access.
  • Hyundai's luxury Genesis brand will also participate in the program, with additional details to be announced soon.
  • This move follows a broader industry shift toward Tesla's NACS standard, with major automakers like Ford, GM, and Rivian already adopting the technology.
