Overview
- Hyundai has unveiled the all-new fifth-generation Tucson with a much boxier, more upright design that the company calls its 'Art of Steel' language and full-width LED lighting.
- The new Tucson measures 4,700 mm long on a 2,785 mm wheelbase and is wider and taller than the outgoing model, with Hyundai claiming class-leading passenger and cargo space.
- Hyundai overhauled the cabin with a floating-look dashboard, a larger centre touchscreen running the Pleos in-car OS and a slim driver display that replaces a conventional instrument cluster.
- The company previewed an XRT trim aimed at outdoor buyers that adds a rectangular-motif grille, skid-plate styling, patterned seats and touch-sensitive LED tailgate lighting.
- Hyundai has not yet released the Tucson's platform or full powertrain specs; reports expect updated 1.6-litre hybrid tech plus petrol, turbo and plug-in hybrid options and regional length/configuration details to follow.
