Hyundai Names Tarun Garg First Indian MD & CEO, Unveils ₹45,000-Crore India 2030 Plan

The roadmap aims to make India Hyundai’s No. 2 region by 2030, featuring 26 launches, a locally built EV SUV by 2027, Genesis by 2027, plus up to 30% exports.

  • The product plan runs to 26 launches including seven new nameplates, eight hybrid SUVs by 2030, a dedicated India-developed electric SUV targeted for 2027, and the Genesis brand’s India entry in 2027.
  • Manufacturing capacity is being scaled with the Pune plant’s first phase onstream at 170,000 units annually, rising by another 80,000 by 2028 to take India capacity to about 1.1 million units per year.
  • Goals include revenue of ₹1 lakh crore by FY2030, sustained double‑digit EBITDA margins of 11–14% from FY26–FY30, Hyundai Capital’s India launch by Q2 2026, and export contribution of up to 30%.
