Hyundai Launches Verna SX+ and Wired-to-Wireless Connectivity Adapter

The new model broadens premium feature access to bolster Hyundai’s standing against rivals in India’s mid-size sedan segment.

Overview

  • The Verna SX+ carries an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.79 lakh for the six-speed manual and Rs 15.04 lakh for the iVT automatic and is now on sale nationwide.
  • It is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 114 bhp and 144 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or Intelligent Variable Transmission, returning up to 19.6 km/l.
  • Inside its cabin, the SX+ features a Bose eight-speaker premium sound system, leather seat upholstery, ventilated and heated front seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with digital instrument cluster, and wireless phone charging.
  • Hyundai’s Wired-to-Wireless Adapter, priced at Rs 4,500, offers seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity without cables for the Verna and six other Hyundai models.
  • Safety equipment on the SX+ includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, and Level 2 ADAS functions such as lane following assist, forward collision-avoidance assist and safe exit warning.
